Parents Singing to Songs They Dont Know
Hi Bloggers its Shelly.Today not long after creating this acount I was brought to a new topic.Parents singing to songs they dont know.We were in the car listening to the radio and a song called "Dream Catch Me" came on. My Mum obviously had no idea what the lyrics were so instead she would sing "dreeeeammm catcchhh mee whheenn I faaaalllll" in her out of tone raspy voice in innappropriate times(when she wasnt supposed to). It was out of time and pretty awful. Its not the only time a song comes on that Mum dosnt know the words but still sings to it. For instance when playing We Sing on the wii she will attempt to sing 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga with bad timing and and out of tune singing . She will say p-p-poker f-f face instead of p-p-p-poker face. Its hard to explain but very embarrasing. One of my freinds was over when Mum was doing this as well. My friends Mum and my Mum were dancing around the carpet singing. If the professional singers that actually sang those songs heard my Mum I dont know what they would say but I know it wont be "you should be touring Earth".Even though on the ratings it said'you sounded like the crazy frog' she still doesnt get it. I know Mum doesnt mean to be totally embarrasingly uncool but when I tell her she says not to worry. I cant not worry if your singing poker face wrong outside a restraunt on an Island infront of other people my age! Im not getting angry or insulting anyone but Im trying to get across my point that if your going to sing a song...sing one you know and can do well. I hope other people dont have the same problem as me.-Shelly

Hahaha- very funny. I'm afraid I would embarrass you, too. There's an Elton John song called "Crystal" but for years I sang "Twister"!
ReplyDeleteoh no Im glad I never heard that... Crystal and Twister dont even sound alike. how did you mix that up?
ReplyDeleteI'll sing it for you!
